This lemur has the gem trait - brown horns. The vase containing the gem trait ‘brown horns’ was applied to him.
When a vase appears out of an altar it is lead. You need Vase Activation Powder to turn the vase gold and activate its ability to pass a gem trait to a lemur. Only one vase can be used on one lemur at a time.

You can purchase Vase Activation Powder at Zooby’s. It is necessary if you would like your lemurs to have gem traits. To use follow these steps:
Rez the lead vase that appeared from the Magic Altar.
Teleport to Zooby’s and purchase Vase Activation Powder.
Attach the Vase Activation Powder to your right hand and click it.
The word Activate appears above the lead vase. Click the lead vase.
Purple particles fly out and into the lead vase.
The lead vase turns gold and is ready to use on a lemur.
Menu displays By Name, By ID #, By Touch. This allows you to select a lemur to use the vase by typing a name in chat, by typing the ID # in chat or by touching another lemur.

Type your lemurs name in chat.
By ID
Type your lemurs ID # in chat.
By Touch
When you click the gold vase all lemurs will have chat above it that says,
>>>> Touch to add Gem Trait to lemur <<<<.
You can select a lemur by touching it.
Once you select a lemur, another window appears asking you if you would like to add the gem trait. Be careful, once added it is not easily removed.
If you purchased a lemur from the secondary market in SL and it has gem traits that you do not like, you CAN remove them. Teleport to Zooby’s to purchase the Gem Trait Remover box.
